Knights Templar - 12th Century Historical Wax Seal

This wax seal stamp features the well-known emblem associated with the Knights Templar, depicting two mounted knights sharing a single horse. The image is traditionally linked to the order’s early identity and references themes of unity and modest beginnings.

Founded in 1119 by Hugues de Payens, the Templars were established to assist and protect travellers. Over time, the order expanded across Europe and the eastern Mediterranean, becoming known for its fortified sites, administrative network, and financial activities.

The Templars became one of the most influential orders of the medieval world before their suppression in the early 14th century under Philip IV of France. Their symbols and seals remain among the most recognisable surviving images from the era.
