Gandalf Rune Wax Seal Stamp – Lord of the Rings Middle-earth Brass Seal

Wax seal stamp featuring the distinctive Gandalf rune, the personal mark associated with Gandalf in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
Known variously as Gandalf the Grey, Gandalf the White and the Grey Pilgrim, Gandalf is one of the Istari, the Wizards sent to Middle-earth to oppose the growing power of Sauron. Rather than ruling through force, Gandalf travels among the peoples of Middle-earth, advising and encouraging those capable of resisting the Shadow.
Gandalf is associated with a distinctive rune-like “G” signature, used as his personal mark. Tolkien describes Gandalf’s fireworks as bearing both a large red G and his rune, making the symbol a small but characteristic part of the wizard’s identity.
The mark also recalls the beginning of The Hobbit. After meeting Bilbo Baggins at Bag End, Gandalf leaves a secret mark on Bilbo’s door, directing the members of Thorin Oakenshield’s Company to the unsuspecting hobbit’s home. That seemingly insignificant mark helps set in motion the Quest of Erebor and Bilbo’s journey far beyond the Shire.
Simple and immediately recognisable to Tolkien enthusiasts, Gandalf’s rune translates particularly well into the form of a traditional wax seal.
Each stamp is made of solid brass, supplied with a handle, and presented in a velvet pouch.
